Our Story
Our story starts in September of 1977, at a bus stop, on the first day of High School. We dated for 6 years and then married in October of 1983, both of us had decent jobs but strived for more for ourselves and our two young sons. Holding onto the American dream, when an opportunity arose we seized the moment and started a 27-year and counting whirlwind journey. We moved our young family from Toledo to Curtice, Ohio to build, operate, and manage a gas station convenience store in Genoa, Ohio.
Genoa Mini Mart opened for business on December 6th, 1996. We love serving our community and fellow neighbors, so when an expansion opportunity crossed our paths, it seemed a natural fit to open a restaurant next door to our existing gas station business. We chose Champs Chicken/Hangar 54 Pizza because they offer top-quality meals at reasonable prices, and the chicken was a new food option in our local community, and in our adjacent rural areas. We have partnered with Root's Chicken a local poultry business, located in Fremont, Ohio to ensure freshness and consistency.
Our Motto is: We do not serve fast food, we serve fresh food fast!
We sincerely hope you will give us a try!!
